TFR (Thermal Fractional Restoration)

What is TFR?

Thermal Fractionated Resurfacing uses thermal mechanical energy to deliver a controlled direct heat to the skin. This treatment can be used to treat wrinkles and fine lines, sun damaged skin, skin texture, tightening of the upper and lower eyelids and superficial to mild acne scarring.

What does the treatment involve?

To start with, we cleanse the skin and apply a topical anaesthetic which is left for 30 minutes then removed. Tixel (TFR) is heated to 400 degrees we are ready to start the resurfacing treatment. A hot titanium hand piece is then stamped over the treatment area. During the procedure you will feel heat in the skin, inducing some redness which will dissipate over the next 24-48 hours. Downtime is minimal with skin fully recovered after 7-10 days.

How many treatments will I need?

We recommend a series of three treatments four weeks apart.
